Swedish for Immigrants - SFI

Medis offers full-time courses in Swedish for immigrants (SFI). The courses are intended for those who have recently moved to Åland and want to learn Swedish.

The next course starts on August 24th and applications are open until May 8th.

The courses are offered at levels A1 to B1.1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). New courses start when approved by the Government of Åland. The education in Swedish is funded by the Government of Åland.'

You apply for the courses directly through AMS. Current start dates and more information are available on their website.

To take part in the courses, you must be registered as a jobseeker with the Åland Employment and Study Services Agency (AMS).
