General Course Information
The course fee mainly depends on the number of lessons in the course and the number of participants. Some special courses cost more because they are more expensive to organise.
The published course fees apply to people who are residents of Åland. If you live outside Åland, the fee will be increased by 20 %.
Once you have started a course, the full course fee must be paid. Paid fees are non‑refundable.
If you start a course that has already begun, you may be charged a reduced price depending on how many lessons remain. Register for the course as usual and then contact the office so that the correct fee can be applied.
The rules for course fees have been decided by the Education Committee in Mariehamn. Any national changes to VAT affect the course fees to the same extent.
Invoice procedures – sign up electronic invoices and help save the environment
We invoice at the end of each course and you will receive the invoice by post or as an e‑invoice. Invoices that have been sent can only be changed or cancelled if Medis has made an error.
Tip! Sign up for e‑invoices
When you receive your invoice, you can activate e‑invoicing for Medis in your online bank. It’s easier for you and helps save paper, postage and labour, as e‑invoices are delivered directly to your bank instead of by mail.
Important to know
If an invoice is not paid and the amount exceeds a certain limit, your account will be locked. You will not be able to register for courses until the outstanding amount has been paid.
For some short courses and lectures, it will be possible to pay the course fee on site by card.
