1.    How do I register for a course?
The easiest way to register is through your online user account on the website. If you don’t have an account, create one here! (länk) You can also call or visit the office, or email all necessary information to medis@mariehamn.ax. Registration becomes binding 7 days before the course starts.

2.    What happens if the course is full?
You can join the waiting list. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you by SMS in the order of the waiting list.

3.    When is the latest I can cancel with the office?
You must cancel with the office at least 8 days before the course starts, otherwise registration is binding. Cancellation must be done via your online account, in writing by email to medis@mariehamn.ax, or by SMS to 0457 5392 159.

4.    Can I cancel if I get sick?
Yes — if you provide a doctor’s note to the office you can cancel the course free of charge or have the fee adjusted. Otherwise, registration is binding and you will be invoiced for the full course.

5.    Can I try a course without committing?
Yes — some courses have a trial session, indicated by an asterisk (*). You attend the first session and if you don’t want to continue, you must notify the office in writing (by email or SMS) before the second session. Then you pay nothing. If you do not cancel in time, you are considered a participant and will be invoiced for the full course.

6.    I received a welcome message but can’t attend. Do I have to pay?
Yes, we send welcome messages 7 days before course start and at that point registration is binding. Exceptions are only made with a doctor’s note.

7.    What does (F) after the course name mean?
(F) indicates that the course can be paid with a wellness benefit.

8.    Which wellness benefits do Medis accept?
We accept ePassi, Friskvård.ax and ÅHS wellness benefits.

9.    How does payment with wellness benefits work?
Await the invoice, and once you have received it you can pay the course fee (but not material costs) with your wellness benefits. Choose the correct category: Wellness or Culture.

10.  Can I use my wellness benefits to pay for someone else’s course?
No — the benefit is personal and can only be used for your own course.

11.  How do I pay with ePassi?
Pay via https://www.epassi.fi (not through the app). Log in and choose online payment. Enter your customer number and invoice number as references.

12.  How do I pay with Friskvård.ax?
Enter your customer number and invoice number when paying via Friskvård.ax.

13.  Can I use wellness benefits for material fees?
No — only the course fee can be paid with a wellness benefit. Material costs are specified separately on the invoice.

14.  What are the office hours and phone times?
The office is open for visits and calls Monday–Thursday 10:00–17:00, Friday 10:00–12:00.
Our finance administrator’s phone hours are Tuesday–Thursday, 10:00–12:00.

15.  Can course information change after the catalogue is printed?
Yes — the online information is always the most up to date. Changes can occur after the catalogue has been printed.

16.  Can a course start even if the minimum number of participants is not reached?
Yes, sometimes courses may run as a small group with a higher course fee per person. We always contact all participants for approval before making this decision.

17.  Can I contact the course leader directly?
Once you are registered, you can send a message directly to the course leader through your online user account.
